Apart from automatic cooking, De Dietrich ovens also come with a Dehydration mode, a feature modern homemakers will find tough to live without. Dehydration mode permits a variety of items such as herbs, fruit and vegetables to be dried at a precise temperature between 600C and 800C. By dehydrating at these temperatures, bacteria will not multiply, making it possible to preserve minerals and vitamins for longer periods of time.
